The Holy Ghost is supposed to confirm the answers, but how do we confirm the method of the Holy Ghost?
I was raised believing that the Church doesn’t mind being questioned. It’s okay to question; it’s even good to question—it’s encouraged.
As long as you don’t question the framework of how you get the answers.
That is where the truth hides: in the framework itself. The framework for finding the answers.
Unless we question the lens by which we see the world, we will never know if what we are seeing is true.
Everyone likes to use the analogy of the Matrix, but this is what it really means: it means that you accepted a lens that was given to you before you knew how to question it, and you have been using that lens without realizing it.
For Latter-day Saints, that lens is revelation by the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost is supposed to provide the answers, but where do we look for an answer about the Holy Ghost?
